Richard Lake : Certified sports therapist
Sports therapist

Hello I am Richard Lake – I have been involved in and passionate about sport all my life. Growing up in South Africa I played provincial level Cricket and Hockey – but soon learnt the struggles that come with injury and rehabilitation following a ACL rupture of my knee at 18 years old. I moved to the UK as the “overseas player” in a cricket team and continued to play sport at a high level.
My Vision
As someone who has suffered from a variety of injuries, I have often found myself on the receiving end of massages, physical therapy and rehabilitation. I understand the frustrations that come from those niggles that prevent all of us from getting on with our lives and enjoying the activities we love.
After many years in IT I decided to make my passion my job. I realized that I wanted to help others that are in the same position as I have been, so I chose to retrain as a Sports Therapist. In 2010 I achieved a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Sports Therapy.
